Something like. once upon a time girls played with dolls and boys played with sticks and then a boy wanted to play with a doll and was made fun of for being a girl when he was obviously not. His feelings hurt he grew up over compensating for his masculinity and was never happy.
Impressive improv storytelling.
So another boy much smarter then the first made a less cute and cuddle and more rough and tumble doll and called it an action figure. With this more manly name he avoided persecution and grew up to build a toymaking empire.
Not that she actually knows but it sounds good so I'm going with that.
