(no subject)

What a beautiful morning.

I have to say, the digital world has kinda grown on me, pies grow on trees here, nice people give me money to find them boose, and best of all i've got a faithful animal companion just like in the manga's! Every manga needs a cute animal mascot and now I have plotmon so no doubt people will be writing a manga about me in no time.

Actually here's something I always found interesting back home...apparently people have been merchandising me! no really. You'd think they would have come up with it sooner but the titans have their own line of toys and clothes like Superman or Batman. See the thing is though seeing as no one ever asked us for the rights to our likenesses...well we're getting shafted! No cash what-so-ever.

I did some reading up on the subject, superman delt with the same thing by telling the companies to donate a chunk of their profits to charity, and I was thinking it would save us alot of trouble with TURF (Titans Urban Rebuilding Fund).

Wow...that actually sounds pretty smart Beastboy...you didn't really come up with it did you?

ehh...heh...ok so maybe Raven inspired it but you shoulda seen her face when I showed her a doll of her. She has no appreciation of imitation being the highest form of flattery!

Hey what's that?

It's a cloud.

No that spec there behind the cloud...

Probably nothing.

See, that's one of the things I just don't get about other universes that don't have a Citizens Crime Fighting Act.

Without some form of government recognition, with having to resort to only your own wits to keep a secret identity, you can't really do anything in the face of things like that. Action figures, T-Shirts, heck, even websites could just spring up and there'd really be no legal recourse if a court doesn't recognise your heroic identity.
