We've had some government influence in alot of our super heroics...I seem to recall our tower was built on government funds...and rebuilt...and rebuilt...Wayne enterprises donates alot of it but Robin and Cy have to fill out expense reports each month to justify why we go through T-cars like ketchup packets.

Then there was this big thing where the Government wanted the justice league to disband because they were afraid of how much power they had...honestly I'm surprised that a tower full of teenagers is given so much slack with how they treat you adults.
